Hip Hop Versus Hip Pop.

I'm a fan of old-school Hip Hop. We're talking Wu-Tang Clan (and it's associated members, except for Ol' Dirty Bastard. His voice annoyed me), Tupac, Run DMC, and Public Enemy. It's loud and the beats are awesome.
The Black Eyed Peas, Lil' Wayne, and other kinds of modern "hip hop" don't really strike me as hip hop anymore, because that core bass drum/kick drum component is gone. It's basically dance music with black people in it so as to retain some form of hip-hop credibility. People will probably disagree with me (I'd be surprised if they didn't), but this is how I see things.
