Temporary Hiatus!

Hey, the three of you who still read GD!

First, thanks for sticking it out!  :D  Updates aren't as frequent as I'd like them to be, but your patience is awesome.
The bad news is I won't be updating this week because I will be living at my job for the next three days, and won't have time to make a comic or be near a scanner of any sort.  Yeah, I know.  SAD.
But I will be back next week with a page and stuff!  YAY!

Cliffs.

So I have been experimenting with line weight, and I think I'm getting kinda better at gauging which lines should be thicker, and where?  Also, I don't know how to draw cliffs, but that is obvious.
Sorry there wasn't a comic last week, there's no excuse for that.  I just wasn't diligent.  My bad.

On Forgetfulness.

General Demeanor is not dead, I promise you!  It has, however, been inactive for some time.  That is mostly because I have been away from my drawing table a LOT, which makes me sad.  Seriously, I stared at the empty paper for a long time until I remembered what drawing a comic entailed.
Given how few comics have gone up because of life, in general, tearing me away from my desk, I have decided that General Demeanor will now update once a week on Wednesdays!  YAY!  This news is sure to excite all two of you who still read this!

Delivering What is Promised.

Whoo, there's a comic!  Work has been absolutely destroying me, so I haven't really had time to post.  :(  This one has been ready for a while, but what with how crazy it's been around here, I haven't had time to really be on the internet long enough to put this dang thing up.  But here it is!  :D
Now, some context: I'm not a huge fan of Nicki Minaj.  At all.  Most rap these days kind of annoys me, but more on that later.  One of her songs is called "You a Stupid Ho."  Curious as to what it was about, I listened to it.  And then realized that I should not have expected much of anything from a song called "You a Stupid Ho."  Hey, at least it delivers what it promises.

I have been watching Samurai 7, an anime adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's film, The Seven Samurai.  It's one of my favorites, and I really enjoy how they messed with the setting of the story.  Anyway, here is a samurai character who is out of place in the modern world.

Work has been really busy, lately, to the point where sometimes I come home so tired I forget to change out of my work clothes and end up falling asleep on the couch.  Also, that is why posts have become so erratic, lately.  :\

So as part of my job, I have to give safety talks for some of the various activities that could end badly without proper precaution. Since I like to be thorough, I was spending the night studying up on the safety regulations for the Archery range. Unfortunately, the demands of the body can sometimes outweigh the importance of whatever you may be doing.

If I haven't mentioned it before, I'll say it now, but I really like doodling robots. That is probably my favorite thing to doodle. This guy was inspired mostly by my study of anatomy and my love of robots with spindly necks.
