Breakfast Ninja - 1

A little something different!  It's a short story comic based on my friend Belinda's poem for the next few weeks!  You guys remember Belinda, right?  Well she had a poem, and now it is a comic.  Enjoy!

BACK FROM THE DEAD.

I'M BAAAACK WOOOOoooOOOOOoooOOO (Scary ghost noises)!
Anyways, yeah, remember that hiatus I said GD was taking?  That's over.  It's back to making comics and being tired of living!  YAYSOBSOBSOB.
Things have gotten really hectic.  A road trip happened, and then my brain tried to murder me.  All in our next batch of exciting comics!
Also, yes, I'm a horrible bug-eyed zombie now.

Underqualified.

So my old University has a pep band that Zach is in.  Javier used to be in it, but he has a grown-up job and stuff, and therefore no time.  After being talked into it by another friend of mine, I decided that I would join up, since they were always looking for new members.  However, I have never EVER done any sort of marching band thing ever in my life, and I've never even had any formal training in music.  I've had friends who have taught me useful things, but never a teacher in a classroom setting.  I get to play a giant bass drum!
I guess what I'm saying is that I'm screwed, but who cares because it's gonna be AWESOME.
Also, the comic was late, but I am pretty sure it is okay since today was Zach's birthday, and we were all out celebrating his special day with his brother!

Giraffes.

A little something different!  So I have a list of animals I think are suspicious.  There are reasons why for each one, and today, we feature giraffes!  There are some definite layout issues, but this is the first in a series I'm starting here on General Demeanor, and it will hopefully solidify into a nice looking title.  Also, if you can't tell, I am a paranoid human being.

Let's Attack Aggressively.

-AAAAAAAAAAwesome.
So Chris and I have Contra and Contra III on the NES and Super Nintendo, respectively.  If you know anything about video games, then you know that these games are hard.  Like, insanely difficult.  Like, playing is fun, but after a while, you die so many times that it really feels like the game is punishing you for something you did.  And if anything, you probably have it coming.
What I'm trying to say is that we suck at video games.  Also, if you ever meet anyone who has claimed to beat these games without using the Konami Code, then slap them in their filthy lying mouth, because that is impossible.
Ooh, and I just found out I can ad alt text to these comics!  SWEET.

Misleading Titles.

So I'm a huge fan of a band called Mogwai.  They're a Scottish Post-Rock band, which means they have long instrumental pieces with ridiculous names (one of their tracks is called "Stupid Prick Gets Chased by the Police and Loses His Slut Girlfriend").  I absolutely LOVE their music.  Chris, however, had to object to the names of their tracks.

On Forgetfulness.

General Demeanor is not dead, I promise you!  It has, however, been inactive for some time.  That is mostly because I have been away from my drawing table a LOT, which makes me sad.  Seriously, I stared at the empty paper for a long time until I remembered what drawing a comic entailed.
Given how few comics have gone up because of life, in general, tearing me away from my desk, I have decided that General Demeanor will now update once a week on Wednesdays!  YAY!  This news is sure to excite all two of you who still read this!

Delivering What is Promised.

Whoo, there's a comic!  Work has been absolutely destroying me, so I haven't really had time to post.  :(  This one has been ready for a while, but what with how crazy it's been around here, I haven't had time to really be on the internet long enough to put this dang thing up.  But here it is!  :D
Now, some context: I'm not a huge fan of Nicki Minaj.  At all.  Most rap these days kind of annoys me, but more on that later.  One of her songs is called "You a Stupid Ho."  Curious as to what it was about, I listened to it.  And then realized that I should not have expected much of anything from a song called "You a Stupid Ho."  Hey, at least it delivers what it promises.

Operator Error.

So Javi and I went to run errands, and this happened.  Sometimes, I am terrified of the fact that I am trusted with big important things, since I apparently can't even handle pockets or the things you put in pockets.

Mind Your Manners.

One of Javi's favorite past-times is yelling at Zach.  Actually, Javi just likes yelling at everyone.
This week at work has been pretty hectic, which is unfortunate, because I keep falling asleep at my desk while working on these.  I guess I get tired?  Anyway, I'm working on that, guys!  Sorry!

Let's Do This.

Sorry the post came super late, guys, but I've been busy with work, and also gearing up to play at the Whisky A Go Go again with the Castle Town Convicts!  Come one, come all!

The SuperTan.

So since I'm in the sun a lot at work, I have both lost a bunch of weight and gotten a MEGA Farmer's tan.  The other employees try to find ways to combat this, but I have decided to accept that I will always have a terrible farmer's tan, especially since I have ALWAYS had a farmer's tan.

Javi's Playthrough.

Mass Effect might be one of my favorite game series ever, second only to the Metroid series (Except Metroid Prime: Hunters.  Because it was terrible.).  I guess I am into sweeping science fiction stories with engaging characters.  Javi, though, has a different opinion.

Office Space.

Work has been really busy, lately, to the point where sometimes I come home so tired I forget to change out of my work clothes and end up falling asleep on the couch.  Also, that is why posts have become so erratic, lately.  :\

Motivational Reminders.

Whoa, the language in this comic is pretty risque! Also, is there supposed to be an accent on "risque"? I can never remember, and I apparently can't be bothered to google it. Anyhoo, yeah, it seems that this weekend, I am super-busy doing music things. I am really excited to be accompanying Sabrina in her first solo show! But I am also nervous and hope I don't screw up!

Inappropriate Cooking Methods.

SO I GOT A NEW SCANNER AND THIS IS THE FIRST PAGE I'VE EVER SCANNED FROM IT AND OMG IT'S AWESOME AND MAKES MY LIFE SO MUCH EASIER!
Okay, run-on sentence over. Anyway, I couldn't post last Thursday, even though this comic has been pretty much done for a week, because I got horribly sick and just was not up to going outside at all. Boo.
All that aside, expect comics to actually be posted on time now since I am no longer subject to the vicissitudes of a public scanner! :D

Mr. Fix-It.

Grar. Sorry for the late comic, guys, but having to use a public scanner isn't easy. I'm working on getting these comics out on time, but you'll be surprised how easy it is for life to throw enough small annoyances at you to put you off track.
Long Story Short: Public Scanners Blow.
As for the comic, a bit of context: I'm known to carry a knife with me at almost all times, mostly because having one makes you the handiest person to have around in any given situation. Knives are just versatile tools, provided they are used responsibly. I lent one to my brother once, and it came back in pieces. The upside was that that particular knife sucked anyway, and I now have an excuse to save up for a sweet KA-BAR knife. Really, breaking that knife was a blessing.

Organization.

Javi has since moved the Office Depot bag, but he thankfully left it in the living room for Chris to make this pointed observation, and for me to record that observation.

Wisdom from Chris.

I offer some of Chris' wisdom without context or comment.
