Hey, the three of you who still read GD!
First, thanks for sticking it out! :D Updates aren't as frequent as I'd like them to be, but your patience is awesome.
The bad news is I won't be updating this week because I will be living at my job for the next three days, and won't have time to make a comic or be near a scanner of any sort. Yeah, I know. SAD.
But I will be back next week with a page and stuff! YAY!
Best,
Jose.

The SuperTan.
So since I'm in the sun a lot at work, I have both lost a bunch of weight and gotten a MEGA Farmer's tan. The other employees try to find ways to combat this, but I have decided to accept that I will always have a terrible farmer's tan, especially since I have ALWAYS had a farmer's tan.

Office Space.
Work has been really busy, lately, to the point where sometimes I come home so tired I forget to change out of my work clothes and end up falling asleep on the couch. Also, that is why posts have become so erratic, lately. :\

SLUG OF DOOM!!!
Here's a sketch of a dude fighting a gross slug monster. I doodled this while waiting for the bus to work one day. This week at work is looking to be super hectic, so I haven't had time to ink the pages that I'm working on, but Thursday will be host to a full-on comic. WHOO!Remember, click on the image to make it bigger!

Mr. Fix-It.
Grar. Sorry for the late comic, guys, but having to use a public scanner isn't easy. I'm working on getting these comics out on time, but you'll be surprised how easy it is for life to throw enough small annoyances at you to put you off track.Long Story Short: Public Scanners Blow.
As for the comic, a bit of context: I'm known to carry a knife with me at almost all times, mostly because having one makes you the handiest person to have around in any given situation. Knives are just versatile tools, provided they are used responsibly. I lent one to my brother once, and it came back in pieces. The upside was that that particular knife sucked anyway, and I now have an excuse to save up for a sweet KA-BAR knife. Really, breaking that knife was a blessing.

Dang, Man.
So after a tough day at work and fighting off two severe migraines today, it is too late for me to go down to the library that has the scanner I use to post pages. Sorry, guys, but today was exceptionally tough to get through. :(
Thanks for being so patient!

Not The Most Diligent.
So as part of my job, I have to give safety talks for some of the various activities that could end badly without proper precaution. Since I like to be thorough, I was spending the night studying up on the safety regulations for the Archery range. Unfortunately, the demands of the body can sometimes outweigh the importance of whatever you may be doing.Remember, click on the image to make it bigger!

Very Specific Skills.
Hey guys! So for my new job, I had to learn some things that I thought were incredibly specific. My sisters are of the opinion that I work either for or as Robin Hood, something that I will neither confirm nor deny. Also, I just noticed the wonky perspective in panel 3. Oops. Sorry 'bout that.

Aw, Man.
Hey, guys,
The comic won't update today, unfortunately. I'm super sorry, but I am still adjusting to my work schedule. :(
Thank you for your patience! I plan to get back into the swing of things soon!

Settling the Tab.
HURRAH! I has a job now! Incidentally, that is the reason I ended up posting a week later than I wanted to, and also why I posted today's comic so late. The good news is that this new job is awesome, and is a pretty good workout. Yay! I will have all-new tales of adventure for the coming year! And remember, click on the image to make it bigger!

Where Everybody Knows Your Name.
So I've entered the job hunt again after leaving my last gig (which you've seen occasionally here as Yogurt & Stuff). So I am back to being unemployed. I never intend to be that way for long. I don't think anyone does.Remember, click on the image to make it bigger! Also, bonus points to the people who can guess which comic book character the barkeep here is based on!

The Most Trustworthy.
Javi works as a music teacher for a few different studios and programs, and he was going into an interview when he posed this question. Chris and I were able to infer his true meaning, which was "Do I look professional?" He did, but we had no idea why he asked it like that. Javi then got into his van and drove off (he does not actually have a van.)Remember, click on the image to make it bigger!

This Week's Episode.
If we are a TV show, then the writers are real douchebags. Most characters are independently wealthy, and don't have to worry about rent money. And even when they do, they always end up okay. Man, we want to be Television Poor, not REAL LIFE Poor. :(Also, our two new roommates have moved in and settled, so I will get to making intros for them as soon as I can!

Operation Market Orange.
So grey scale is REALLY HARD, especially when you only actually have two grey pens to work with. As you can see, in the above comic, there is only so much layering you can do before your page just looks like a grey pen threw up on it.
So, if I haven't mentioned it before, I work in a frozen yogurt place, and, as with all jobs, there are good days and bad days. Sometimes, though, those bad days last a WHOLE WEEK. At least I get a huge paycheck.
It mostly happened because all the new students from the college nearby (incidentally, my old school) had moved in for orientation, and the groups would come into the store for frozen yogurt. On a hot summer day, that mess hits the spot, but that entire week, our frozen yogurt machines decided to break down a lot (especially when huge mobs of customers were in the store). We made do, but it really felt like everything was going wrong faster than we could put it back together.
I've been reading Band of Brothers recently (the series is amazing and I figured reading the book would deepen my appreciation for Easy Company and its awesomeness), and the descriptions of the artillery strikes in the book kind of influenced the second panel. Essentially, it felt like the machines were just lobbing horrible things at me all the time, and I couldn't do anything about it. Not fun.

Sorry, homies!
Hey, guys,
Sorry for the lack of comic, but things have been CRAZY lately. Luckily, work has finally stopped being hectic. I am sorry, folks! Things have just been busy lately. :(

These Things Happen, I Guess.
Hey, guys!
Sorry, but since work and life have been so crazy lately, I haven't had time to pull a comic together for today. My bad. :( GD will be back on track next week.
Stay classy, legion of fans, stay classy.

Pardon the Dust.
Hey, all!
Sorry for the lack of comic today, but I've been really busy the last couple of days, especially with writing the comic for the coming Tuesday. It's going to be another big post, like the Harry Potter one, so the writing is a pretty intensive process that is demanding a lot of time. Also, being alive and stuff has also been a hassle lately, so, sadly, there will be no comic today. Thanks for being so patient, legions of readers! You guys are the best!

The Wise Old Man
I used to work in high schools as a tutor for a program called AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), which helped at-risk kids get into four-year universities. I was in it as a kid, as were my older sisters, and my brother was in it, too. Being a tutor was fun, and even though I realized that being an educator wasn't for me, I still had a great time.I did come to notice, though, that the question of my age came up A LOT among the students, and a lot of them figured that I was probably a 30 year old divorcee. Probably because I am irritable and bearded?
