So my old University has a pep band that Zach is in. Javier used to be in it, but he has a grown-up job and stuff, and therefore no time. After being talked into it by another friend of mine, I decided that I would join up, since they were always looking for new members. However, I have never EVER done any sort of marching band thing ever in my life, and I've never even had any formal training in music. I've had friends who have taught me useful things, but never a teacher in a classroom setting. I get to play a giant bass drum!
I guess what I'm saying is that I'm screwed, but who cares because it's gonna be AWESOME.
Also, the comic was late, but I am pretty sure it is okay since today
was Zach's birthday, and we were all out celebrating his special day
with his brother!

Jose Gets INTENSE.
I took a bowling class once in college, but I was never very good. I compensated for this by throwing the ball REALLY REALLY hard. Sometimes, though, this comes at the cost of accuracy, as you see so (poorly) illustrated here. I was bowling with Eileen and one of her really old friends, and they happened to see this moment of shame.Remember, click on the image to make it bigger!

The Giant Bowl Party.
My friends Katelyn and Zach had a small Superbowl get-together on Sunday so we could all eat hot wings and watch awesome commercials and maybe accidentally watch the game. It was AWESOME. Katelyn sang a line from that one Katy Perry song, despite the fact that none of us like Katy Perry. It was just fun to annoy Lyz. By the end of the game, however, we were coming to terms with the possibility that we might actually be kinda tired. Boo.Remember, click on the image to make it bigger!

The Coolest House.
I live in Valhalla with my roommates. They are awesome. Clockwise, the people in this comic are: Me, Belinda, Eileen, and Chris. They are awesome people to live with.Remember, click on the image to make it bigger! Also, tell your friends about General Demeanor!

At the End of the Rainbow.
About the comic, I used a scanner that belongs to one of my roommates, but the problem is that light still got into the scanner, darkening the image. Oh, well. Now I know to weigh it down and block out external light. Don't worry, only this and Thursday's comics will look like this! This is pretty much how the conversation happened. I had been re-reading the Poetic Edda, so Valhalla was an obvious choice. Also, Viking myths are awesome, so there.
Oh, and once I get the OK to introduce my roommates on here, be ready for introductions!

The Most Boringest
HEY! LOOK! It's an update! For you! Yeah! Think of it as a present that you really don't want, but your kindly grandmother gave it to you anyway, so you have to like it, but then you throw it in the back of the closet and forget about it until you're 30 and then you feel bad for hating the present because your grandma died. Yeah, exactly like that.Interestingly enough, this comic technically represents an event that happened about a year ago. I just thought it was kinda funny and worth putting on the site. It was when I still worked at a high school (which I don't work at anymore because I graduated college).
Oh, and I think I mentioned that I'm in a band (or, I show up to a real band's rehearsals and they don't have the heart to kick me out)! We're called the Castle Town Convicts! We've got a myspace, a facebook page, and we've begun putting short video of our rehearsals on the youtubes. If you're wondering, I'm the dude in the Terrible Army Jacket That I Always Wear. I wear it so much that I often draw myself wearing it.

Raul Guzman, 1991-2010
Raul Guzman (b. 1991) was a young man who dreamed of being a sworn sheriff. He was stricken by bone cancer. After nearly two years of battling his illness, he died on August 10th, 2010. He was 19 years old.
Please, for those of you who read this, keep Raul in your prayers.
Here is a video of him being sworn in as a Deputy for a Day.

Would This Count As Cosmetic Surgery?
So I'm back from a fantabulous week working with the Gear Up program, which focusses on getting kids to a four-year university. The kids were awesome, and the other staff were the coolest people ever. One, whom I will refer to as "College Mom" (because she was like everybody's mom during that week, see), wanted me to include her in the comic. Her condition? Make her younger, thinner, and more shapely. And a superhero. She made that part very clear.Remember, click on the image to make it bigger.
